Attendees are responsible for making their hotel reservations and travel arrangements.

Any tickets ordered after August 1, 2018, may not receive a name badge.

There will be a $50 cancellation fee for cancellations made before June 30, 2018. The Design + Diversity conference will refund 20 percent of conference fees paid for cancellations made between July 01 and August 01, 2018. No refunds will be available after August 01, 2018. After August 01, 2018 all ticket sales for pre- and post-conference events are final; no refunds will be granted.

Your registration constitutes permission to use photos, audio and video recording taken of you at the event for promotional and educational purposes in connection with the Design + Diversity conference and activities, in corresponding publications, in Design + Diversity’s archives, and on the Design + Diversity website. Conference rates are based on AIGA membership status at the time of registration. AIGA Memberships are non-transferable.

The conference is subject to cancellation or change. Liability is limited to funds remitted for conference registration and sponsorship fees. Speakers are subject to change without prior notice.

Group Discounts

Group Discounts

Companies or organizations sending 7 or more attendees receive a 15% discount on the total price of all tickets. Applies to both professional and student tickets.

Enter “groupdiscount” during registration for each ticket. All tickets must be purchased in the same order.

You may transfer your registration to another person by notifying us by e-mail, no later than Tuesday, August 1, 2018. Your request must include your name and e-mail address as well as that of the person who will now be attending in your place.

Design + Diversity is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability status, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or political affiliation. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants* in any form, at any conference activity. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference (without a refund) at the discretion of the organizers.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Comments that reinforce social structures of domination (related to gender, sexual orientation, ability status, physical appearance, race, age, religion, or political affiliation)
  • Inappropriate sexual images in public spaces
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking or following
  • Harassing photography or recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other activities
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Any of the above behavior aimed at or in reference to this event or its attendees on social media
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior

If someone makes you or another participant feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible. You can make a report either anonymously or in person. To make an anonymous report, email [email protected]. To make a report in person, find a Design + Diversity staff member (identifiable at the conference by conference shirts with the Design + Diversity logo and staff on the back). When making a personal report, our staff will ensure you are safe and cannot be overheard. Our team will be happy to contact hotel/venue security, local law enforcement, or local support services, or otherwise assist you in feeling safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.

*Participants include registered attendees, speakers, special guests, sponsors, exhibitors, and conference associates.
